FAQ

Does everyone pay estate taxes?

How do I protect my minor children?

How often should I review my estate plan?

All I need is a will, right?

What is "Estate Planning"?

I want my family to remember more about me than just how much money I give them. What should I do to pass on my values in addition to my valuables?

I'm okay with the default rules of inheritance. Why should I have an estate plan?

Aren't all wills and trusts basically the same?

Well, yeah. Sort of like all refrigerators are the same. They all keep food cold, right. Truthfully though, if you go shopping for a fridge they are not all the same, right?  There are different sizes, colors, features and qualities. You name it, and you can spend it on a fridge. Some top end models sell for $4,000 or more whereas the basic model I had in my dorm room years ago was probably no more than $100. It all comes back to the old adage "You get what you pay for." That's why we only draft customized estate plans where each client gets what they need, not a copy of the last client's plan with their name substituted.  Whether you need a $100 plan or a $4,000 plan, we'll recommend a design that meets your specific needs.   And you have the final choice.
